Having a rich centuries-long history, Portugal is the youngest country in Western Europe, but in fact, the greater part of the twentieth century it was isolated from the Old World. The capital, Lisbon, is one of the oldest cities in Europe. The interest in this country by foreigners woke up with tourism, and special wave of demand for property in Portugal prompted the program of so-called "Golden visas". The constant growth in property prices and an increase in the number of objects presented on the market, testify to the development of the sector, which in turn opens up investment opportunities to attract foreign buyers. The rising cost of real estate is constantly ahead of inflation, and so it's relatively easy to get additional revenue from the rental in the tourist market.
